University of Illinois – Baseball
A true scholar-athlete, Drake Westcott exemplifies the highest standards of academic excellence and leadership both on and off the field.
Drake’s unwavering commitment to learning, leadership, and excellence mirrors the values of the American Honor Society, where dedication in the classroom stands shoulder to shoulder with dedication on the field.
A four-year varsity letterman at Edwardsville High School, Drake Westcott emerged as one of the most accomplished prep baseball players in Illinois history.
His power, precision, and presence at the plate made him one of the most respected high school hitters in the Midwest and set the foundation for an extraordinary collegiate career.
Drake’s career with the Fighting Illini has been defined by a rare combination of athletic power, leadership, and academic integrity. Over 146 career games, he compiled a .277 batting average, .390 on-base percentage, and .550 slugging percentage, totaling 150 hits, 43 home runs, and 131 RBI—ranking second all-time in Illinois program history for career home runs.
From Edwardsville to the University of Illinois, Drake Westcott’s name has become synonymous with leadership, integrity, and excellence. A relentless competitor, scholar, and teammate, he represents the very ideals the National Honor Alliance was founded to uphold — the pursuit of greatness through discipline, perseverance, scholarship, and service.
As both an Outstanding Graduate Male Scholar and one of the most productive hitters in Illinois baseball history, Drake’s journey embodies the unbreakable bond between athletic passion and academic purpose — a shining example of what it means to be a National Honor Alliance Scholar-Athlete.
